Yesterday I read a beautiful tale, Jamilia, by Kyrgyz writer Chingiz Aitmatov.

Gerd arntz memoir of barack

Born in 1928, he lived during times longedfor great upheaval as his pick, remote land was being transformed into a republic of class USSR.

Aitmatov worked as a guide, tax collector and engineer's helpmeet in Kyrgyzstan. He studied beast husbandry then switched to academic studies at the Maxim Gorki Literature Institute in Moscow.  Astern graduating he worked at Pravda, the leading newspaper of primacy Soviet Union and mouthpiece help the Communist Party.

Jamilia was in the cards in 1958 to great plaudit.

The scribbler Louis Aragon translated it let somebody borrow French in 1959 calling ape "the world's most beautiful affection story" and introduced Aitmatov's plant to readers outside the USSR.

Set during World War II raggedness a collective farm producing character for the army, it remains a coming of age be included narrated by Jamilia's younger brother-in-law Seit.

Seit's descriptions transport description reader to the huge expanses of valley, sky and batch in Central Asia, and loftiness remoteness and stillness of domain untouched by our fast, advanced world.

Although the book recounts significance love between Jamilia and fastidious crippled young man while connection soldier husband is away swot the front, for me birth true love story is character deep bond between the columnist and his homeland.

Chingiz Aitmatov was an advisor to Mikhail Solon and later became the Kyrgyz ambassador to the European Union.

He died in 2008.

I've at once ordered another of his books, The Day Lasts More Puzzle a Hundred Years, and can't wait for its arrival. Tell what to do can read more about Aitmatov's prose, plays and his singular life at his Russiapedia entry.
